Teton County Historic Preservation Board’s List of Historically Significant Properties
The Teton County Historic Preservation Board’s (TCHPB) List of Historically Significant Properties is Teton County’s documentation of properties historical significance within Teton County but outside the Town of Jackson. To be listed, a property must be nominated and then its significance is verified by a preservation professional. The Teton County Building Department may review TCHPB Listed property projects for special consideration. Please see the Teton County Land Development Regulations or contact the Teton County Building Department with questions about special consideration.
Nominate a Property to the TCHPB List
Nominations for the TCHPB List of Historically Significant Properties may be submitted to the TCHPB by email at tetonpreservation@gmail.com. Nominations are reviewed during regular TCHPB meetings.
Please note that properties are not added to the TCHPB Listed without permission from the owner. If the person completing the nomination form is not the owner, please attach a completed Teton County Letter of Authorization. Nomination forms without property owner permission will not be processed.

Town of Jackson Historic Preservation Program
In February 2021, the Town of Jackson adopted into its Land Development Regulations (LDRs) a new program to preserve historic structures in the Town.

Town of Jackson Historic Register Application Form
The Town of Jackson’s Historic Preservation Program offers incentives for owners of historic properties. Property owners may submit an application to the Town of Jackson Planning Department.

The Jackson Historical Society and Museum
The Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the cultural history of Jackson Hole. The JHHSM illustrates the past and its connection to the present and future through local stories, traditions, places, and artifacts.
Founded in 1958 by collector and western history buff, Slim Lawrence, along with his friend and local businessman, Homer Richards, the JHHSM is a nonprofit 501(c)3 museum, archive, and educational center providing resources on the last 11,000+ years of human presence in the Tetons.
